Neill Brown, Barrister & Solicitor

Neill has been a trial lawyer for over 30 years. Highly experienced in personal injury law, he is known especially for his expertise relating to brain damage and other serious personal injuries. Most of his clients come by personal referrals from clients, medical professionals, and others in the community who know the importance of retaining dedicated counsel. He has extensive court experience, including numerous jury trials; and has successfully concluded many very large personal injury claims.

He also has proven experience and success in cases involving business disputes, professional malpractice, defective and dangerous products, and disputes involving property and estates. He is a trained and qualified mediator, certified as a Chartered Mediatior, assisting other lawyers and adjusters settlle their cases.

Joan Brown, Bachelor of Science, Nursing

Joan completed her nursing education at Vancouver General Hospital (1970) and the University of British Columbia (1977).

Her work as a surgical nurse in teaching hospitals led to an interest in nursing education. She began her teaching career at Vancouver General Hospital and taught the first Registered Nurse refresher course at Fraser Valley College in 1978.

Joan went on to implement a Nursing Diploma Program and then a Nursing Degree Program at the University College of the Fraser Valley in 1995.

In 1996, the Registered Nurses Association of British Columbia selected Joan to receive an Award of Excellence in Nursing for her outstanding performance in nursing education.

In addition to her administration and teaching roles, Joan has extensive counselling experience, particularly in the areas of personal and career choices. She uses the standard of the Nursing Practice in British Columbia as a basis for her assessment and counselling work, and her knowledge and experience from her work as an RN to assist clients with a variety of health care needs.

Joan completed a full course of studies in Conflict Resolution and negotiation at the Justice Institute of British Columbia

Wendy Hilliard has been working as a Legal Secretary for over 20 years. Before that she served in the Canadian Armed Forces, where she learned how to perservere and plan thoroughly. For the past 10 years she has been dedicated to personal injury cases. Wendy has extensive experience in personal injury litigation, in all its aspects, from start to finish, including mediations and trial preparation. Clients find her positive attitude and sense of dedication encourage them on their road to recovery and through the legal process.

Christine Webb has been working as a Legal Assistant for the past 20 years. She obtained her Legal Assistant certification from Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology in Ottawa, Ontario, and has been working in British Columbia since 1992. Chris has specialized in general insurance litigation throughout her career, and has worked mainly on personal injury claims since her relocation to British Columbia. Christine believes in team work to successfully handle a personal injury claim to its resolution. She is committed to assisting each client on an individual basis with her experience and ability to help a client through the legal process, from the beginning of the file to its conclusion.
